Size, color, style of bead caps
We all know that bead caps are essential jewelry findings, which are the key to finish a piece of jewelry. Well, the size, color and style also the important part of bead caps, so for today’s DIY jewelry blog, I will focus on the size, color and style.
Size
Bead caps, like beads, are measured in millimeters (mm). If the jewelry design calls for the jewelry beads and bead caps to have equal emphasis, the bead caps should be close to the same size as the beads it is framing. If the designer wants the beads to stand out more, a slightly smaller bead cap will cover less of the beads.
Colors and Styles
Bead caps come in an assortment of metal colors such as antique brass, gold plated, nickel plated, raw brass, as well as silver plated, as the material used to make bead caps are usually brass, iron and zinc alloy. Most styles of bead caps resemble flowers, but designers can also find leaf, round and so many other shapes.
